Notably, Reimagine Arkansas underlines its non-political stance and emphasizes its mission to amplify the voices of individuals across the political and cultural spectrum, voices often overlooked by traditional news and social media.

Project Description
During the times of the global pandemic and racial tension, Arkansans grappled with the complexities of survival and prosperity. Reimagine Arkansas is on a mission to forge a shared vision for a brighter future, one that benefits all. The concept is straightforward: engage individuals closely acquainted with these challenges in conversations and elevate their narratives and experiences to foster public understanding and, hopefully, guide consequential decision-making.

To materialize this vision, Reimagine Arkansas partners with cohorts of creatives. Our task? To translate conversations with often-unheard voices across the state— voices reflecting how COVID-19 has impacted their lives and their visions for the future—into compelling artwork. We wholeheartedly believe in the transformative potential of amplifying these marginalized voices.

"As a black woman, I do see a lot more health disparities and just different disparities across social-economic lines happening in the black community as far as getting access to health care, resources, being denied support for their businesses, and just overall well-being. So it is a little hard for me to say I see hope, I'm being real, I don't see much hope..." 🔍

Concept
Racial inequalities often manifest in subtle, less conspicuous ways, escaping immediate notice. However, the onset of COVID-19 thrust many of these issues into the spotlight. My approach was to employ a soft, eye-catching color palette, accompanied by text that is intentionally blurred and positioned almost hidden. This juxtaposition, accentuated by the presence of a magnifying glass, serves to underscore the hidden nature of these disparities that tend to linger in the background of our societal consciousness.
